Four Fighters Ten-year Anniversary Show!
posted by Four Fighters on 9th April 2013
Free Outdoor Gig!
Come and celebrate our ten-year anniversary with us.
All ages welcome.
Our very first live show was on 3rd May 2003. So we are throwing a party at The Owl in Rodley, Leeds to mark this illustrious (some would say dubious) milestone. The day after is the Bank Holiday, so drink and be merry!
Live music from 5pm and a delicious Yorkshire hog roast supplied by Burlington's Traditional Hog Roast. Multiple local ales on tap in the bar.
It also happens to be our drummer's 119th birthday that day, so feel free to give him the bumps!
KATH AND THE KICKS
One more band to be confirmed...
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
posted on 9th January 2013 by Four Fighters
Thank-you so much to everyone who supported us in 2012. We had another great year, in what was this band's tenth year in existence (our actual 10th anniversary will be in April)! We have a couple of weekends off before our first gigs of 2013 which will be at The Doghouse in Guernsey on 25th and 26th January. Keep an eye on our dates page to see if we're playing anywhere near you. Summer festival season is taking shape already and new dates are coming in thick and fast. See you out there!

Fresh from an incredible show at ALKATRAZ in Milan last Saturday in front of 1,500 people, we are preparing for two local(ish) gigs next weekend. We will be playing Yardbirds Rock Club in Grimsby on Friday 16th and Gasworks in Bradford on Saturday 17th November. These will be our last appearances at these venues this year so let's fill 'em up!!!

It is with heavy hearts that we have to announce this, but this Saturday's show at Cox's Yard in Stratford-Upon-Avon has been cancelled. We received an email yesterday afternoon informing us that the venue had been sold and that the new owners were closing it with immediate effect.
We have tried desperately to find an alternative venue in town so we can go ahead with the gig somehow. But to no avail, it's just too short-notice. We have been assured that all ticket holders for this show will be reimbursed. Online purchasers have been contacted regarding this situation and are apparently already in the process of being refunded via Ticketweb.
If any of you know anything about us, you will know that we are not in the habit of cancelling gigs. This situation is completely beyond our control and we've made every effort possible to try to get this to go ahead in some way. We are aware (and are very grateful) that people travel to our gigs, sometimes at some expense. We hope that this message reaches those people in time so that they are not put out financially.
We have begun negotiations with another venue in Stratford for an appearance in the future. In the meantime we'd like to offer our sincere apologies to anyone who was wishing to attend on Saturday night.
Anyone wishing to contact Cox's Yard regarding this or any other event there they are intending to go to in the near future, please direct your enquiries / complaints / frustrations to:

So the UK Summer Festival Season is most definitely upon us! We kicked things off in fine style at Otley Fake Festival on Saturday, followed by a rain-soaked and muddy Glastonbudget Music Festival yesterday. Both crowds were in full-voice and we couldn't have asked for a better response! Next stop? Party In The Paddock, Wimborne this Friday. See you down at the front!

Four Fighters 2011 so far...
posted on 4th Oct 2011 by Four Fighters
So, it may be a well-worn cliche, but this year, up to date has been a massive roller-coaster ride. We've been to old stomping grounds all over the UK, Ireland, the Channel Islands and mainland Europe. We've added new venues in all of these places to our growing list of alliances. We have appeared at our regular summer festivals and added to our festival list, most notably in Belgium and Holland this year. We are already looking forward to the 2012 festival season as it's shaping up to be a busy time for us once again.
There are so many people we need to thank for the faith they have had in booking us time and again and a whole load of new names to add to that list for taking a leap of faith with us this year. You all know who you are and we couldn't have done any of it without you. But most of all, it's the people who turn up time and again to see us at the gigs to whom we need to give our humble gratitude. Foo Fighters released a killer album this year and you've all come out in your droves to see if we can do that album justice. We are giving it our best and that's all we can do. We will continue to do so too with as much energy as we can muster. This year ain't over yet! We will be travelling up and down the country and going overseas a couple more times before the year is out and we look forward to some more very hot and sweaty shows!
So, after a couple of rare weekends off, we kick it all off again in October with a couple of shows in Northern Ireland. The Playhouse in Portrush on Friday 14th and The Empire in Belfast on Saturday 15th. Go to the dates page to see if we're playing anywhere near you in 2011...

2011 has been amazing for shows so far, thanks to everyone who's made it along.
This weekend sees us setting sail over to mainland Europe for the first of many times this year - and if our Dutch and Belgian friends can't make any of the dates this weekend, we'll be back within a matter of days to come do it all again the weekend after!
Also, many new dates being added all the time so keep an eye on where you can catch us soon!

We'd just like to say thank-you to anyone and everyone who has attended any of our recent gigs. We've had amazing audiences and it's hard to choose a favourite gig of the year so far. We've loved every minute of learning and playing the new Foo Fighters songs and the response to them at our gigs has been phenomenal. Look out for photographs from these in our gallery - coming soon! Now we can't wait for the summer festivals and they are just around the corner, starting with Brough Fake Festival for us on May 14th.
We have return dates booked later in the year for The 12 Bar in Swindon, Belfast Empire, The Venue in London and Mr Kyps in Poole, all of which were amazing nights. Get your tickets early for our return to these venues!!!
Next up is the Flowerpot in Derby on May 13th. See you there!

We have discovered this morning that the gig scheduled for this Saturday 20th February at Club Twist has been cancelled. The promoter has made this decision and we have had no prior knowledge of this. In fact, the promoter has yet to make contact with us and inform us of this decision, we have found out indirectly via the internet. We have made every effort for this gig to go ahead and we pride ourselves in never cancelling gigs. Since this band's inception we have never cancelled a Four Fighters gig! If you were one of the several people who has purchased tickets, please go back to your point of purchase for a refund. Sincere apologies.

Happy New Year 2010!!!
posted on Jan 3rd, 2010 by Four Fighters.
We'd like to wish everyone who has had any involvement with this band all the best for 2010. This has, once again been the best year for this band. Year on year, the band goes from strength to strength and this is borne out by the quality of gigs that we now seem to be attracting. We already have many festival appearances lined up for next year and more overseas trips in the pipeline. We are looking forward to strengthening our relationships with our current venues and building more new relationships as we continue to pick up new venues and events. We will never take for granted the people who allow us to do what we do, so we must thank all of the venue owners, festival organisers and promoters we have worked with and most of all, the people who have come to any of our gigs and supported us throughout the year! Once again, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
Last Gigs of 2009.

It's been a while since we posted any news, but we must make mention on here of the summer we've just had and what is turning out (once again!) to be the best year yet for this band!
This year has seen us at some new venues and we have built some great new relationships with the people at these venues and their owners. We've had our fair share of summer festivals including: The Cobo Bay Festival in Guernsey, our first appearance at the Glastonbudget Festival, Fake Festivals' Rockfests at Howden and Belton, Monsters Of Rock tribute festival in Dublin, Mychoone Festival in Derbyshire, our second consecutive appearance at Trbfest and the awesome Bosrock Festival in Belgium.
We would like to thank everyone involved in all of the above and all of the venues who have put their faith in us and have accommodated us so generously this year. We have been gigging far and wide with more overseas gigs this year than ever before. Though for the first year in a while, for some reason we have not been north of the border. This we will have to rectify, so look out for some Scottish dates in the future!
2009 is far from over yet, however and there are still plenty of dates left. We shall be sure to finish the year in the same way as we have approached all of our gigs to date - Hurricane Force Ten! See you on the road...
Awesome Gig at Mr Kyps!
posted on Jul 27th, 2009 by Four Fighters
We just want to say a huge thank-you to all the people who came to our sellout gig at Mr Kyps in Poole last Saturday. It was an amazing night and you all sang along from the very beginning! We got some awesome video footage that will, no doubt make it onto our new dvd/promo video. Thanks also to Kyp and the rest of his team for putting us on and we look forward to returning in November...

We have just returned from a five-hour round trip to the Limelight in Crewe. Upon arrival we were told that the venue would be closed until further notice as they were having some "licensing issues". This situation is completely out of our control. We apologise to anybody who was planning on going to this gig. We will endeavour to put a replacemant date in at the LImelight in the not too distant future!

Over the last few months we have had a few of our good friends standing in for one or another of our band members at some gigs. Sometimes life gets in the way of things and some personal commitments can't be moved. So we are very lucky that we have been able to carry on without missing a beat. Normal service has now been resumed, but we would like to thank Wally, Dan, Dunk and George for their perfect musical contributions whilst stepping into the breach.

Last weekend's gigs were a resounding success! Thursday at the Walkabout in Newquay was well worth the 750-mile round trip. It was a raucous, sweaty affair! We hope to be back there for the Boardmasters weekend next year! We travelled back up to Yorkshire on Friday for the big outdoor gig that was Tribfest. The weather was good (which is a break from the norm for this year!) and we ripped through an hour of classic Foo Fighters material to the lairy festival campers! Saturday saw us at the Goole Rockfest. This was a smaller affair, but all the more intense for it and the sound was incredible! We'd like to thank Eddy and Jez respectively for their efforts in organising the two festivals and involving us in the two events. And don't forget, if you saw us at any of the gigs over the weekend, give us your thoughts in a gig review...
Keep an eye on our photo gallery as we'll be adding images from the weekend's events in the next few days. Also note that the next gig is at the LA Rock Cafe in Cannock which is a late addition to our giglist.
